I am looking at doing a trip to Eastern Europe in April and wanted to know what are the best discount carriers from Prague to Krakow and Krakow to Vienna.

What have people's experiences with these carriers been?

You'll get an idea of what is available using dohop.com and skyscanner.net

I don't think you'll have much luck finding a LCC for PRG-KRK, SkyEurope probably serve KRK-VIE though. Discount carriers in Central Europe tend to serve routes a bit further afield (UK, Spain, Greece etc).

You might want to look at train travel instead, you could probably do both journeys as convenient overnight trips. You can search timetables here: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?

great resource

like matt said, skyeurope goes vie-krk.

no lccs between prg and krk. you can fly on LOT for 110 euros, but it goes through Warsaw. The only non-stops are on Czech, but they are selling for more than 10000 crowns (almost 600USD)

True, the train is 7 1/2 hours, but it is probably faster (and slightly cheaper) than flying through Warsaw. And it's definitely cheaper than flying on OK.

One more option could be
www.click4sky.com - "discount tickets" on CSA flights sold by the airline.
PRG-KRK route can be bought via this website for 69 Euro one way. (But you can only buy return tickets, so may not work out for your schedule)
I took the train from Prague to Krakow long time ago and it was not fun at all, although nothing particular horrible.
