Thanks for the free miles, MM! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
I like the question about what teaser would get me to apply for the Dividend Miles card.
- A stuffed animal!!??!!? Are they serious? (Even a large stuffed pinniped probably wouldn't make me get this card.)
- A free car sedan ride? Um, I *own* a sedan. Riding in one isn't that exciting.
- $25 gift certificates? Don't even bother.
- Free companion air tickets? Again, don't even bother: those things are rarely worth the paper they are printed on. If there are NO STRINGS ATTACHED, then maybe I'm interested, but such a thing does not exist.
- Free golf school? Now you're speaking my language! But not everybody plays golf...
- 7,000 bonus miles? Getting warmer, but your new partner (United) gives out over TWICE as many miles.
- Tier miles? No, because I *know* the fine print will be brutal.
So I checked "Other" and said simply "Match United: 15,000 bonus miles and a 1,000-mile upgrade". Then I might apply...

there were a few loaded questions.
I sometimes dont even answer in pure truth, or I tell friends to try to sway the survey to get the services to make a certain product happen (may not do too much good of course) but what i basically find is that many surveys force you to answer things you dont even want to do!
BUT I did it mainly for the 500m!
enjoy/
oh yeah, I guess I would take a few stuffed pinnipeds to add to the collection... as long as they gave me many more miles fer nothin!

This one is too good not to give to many, and that aint wrong!
Get 500 miles on US Air for a short survey on airline affinity credit cards.
Marathon Man, Thanks for sharing. I completed the survey.

I'm sorry MarathonMan, but I can't take credit for it. The survey tip was actually from FlyerTalk (S.P.A.M.)

Thanks to this offer I now have a grand total of an astounding 5,000 miles with USAir. I wonder if they offer flights within Hawaii or anything else at that level.

Hmmm...ought to be worth half to two third of a magazine subscription. Unless the UA partnership can produce some pooling arrangement. All to the good, though. Thanks.

they say they take a few weeks and in most every experience I have ever seen in any airline partner thing or survey, you are looking at anything between 1-8 weeks.
They will post. keep records, that's all.

I took the survey back in November. Have yet to get the 500 miles.
Anyone else?
BTW, link is still active.
[This message has been edited by Rut Dog (edited 02-06-2003).]
It was a targeted survey and they're only giving the miles to those who were targeted.

Thanks for the free 500 miles! My account was 0 ever since US AIRWAYS left me stranded in Las Vegas for 12 hours in 1999. I sure hope they do mile - HH Honor points transfers later in life, because I won't fly them ever since that Las Vegas incident (they wouldn't let me fly to PHX or LAX on my own expense) to get a flight back to BOS. Horrible.

even though I posted this one, I find it must be targeted since I never got my miles. I heard that it may be from others as well, so sorry.
however, with many such things, I consider them a bonus if they come thru and not a big deal (ro any major waste of time) if they do not.
As for that Vegas gig with 12 hour waiting, this is why I do not like America West. 10 hours in Reno last Feb and I had to watch the superbowl in an airport lounge instead of home--and I am a Pats fan!
Well, that was last year and it is long overwith.
I do not know if US Air is Hhilton-able...
