Las Vegas - What is going on 3/13/08 to 3/17/08?

I am coming into LV for a hockey tournament that weekend and notice rates are very high and many hotels (primarily Hilton brands where I have status) are already sold out.

Does anyone have an idea as to any kind of special event that may be happening that weekend?

thanks for this. I have flights booked from UK for these dates but hadn't bothered with booking the hotel yet.

Looks like CONEXPO-CON/AGG only happens every three years, but when it does happen it overtakes the International CES as the largest tradeshow in the United States (based on the Tradeshow Week 200 ranking):

First round doesn't start until the 20th this year. (Play-in game is on the 18th)

ConExpo...I (well, my company) is/am paying $300/night for Harrahs, midweek. Just kills me. Flaming-o was $325. Caesars was 275/night, but of course, was sold out. ConExpo runs from March 11 to the 14th, so I would expect the weekends on either side to be pretty busy as well. Have fun!
