Las Vegas - LAS Immigration...Good, bad or ugly?

Hello.

Does anyone have any experiences or horror stories about customs / immigration clearance at LAS? I'm thinking about planning a trip via Virgin's direct flight from Gatwick, and want to know how bad the experience is?

I figure that it is probably about the same as Orlando's immigration mission, with about the same number of officers and line length.

Is it good or bad (generally speaking) as US immigration ports go?

it is about what you'd expect. as long as there is not a lot of international flights arriving at the same time it is not bad.

Terminal 2 is a very small terminal, when i used it I dont recall immigration being particularly bad. But frankly who cares, you're going to vegas and I'm sure you dont book your holidays based on immigration wait time.

International arrivals at term 2 are generally pretty easy. My parents recently arrived from FRA on Condor Air and it took them longer to get off the plane than it did to get through Immigration and Customs. I'm on the VS flight about 5 times a year. I am always in UC so I'm off and through pretty fast as I have a Green Card.

The flights are reasonably well timed and there are not that many of them. The Air Canada and Westjet flights do arrive at term 2 but those passengers are prescreened in Canada so they are not an issue. The Mexicana 737's are usually packed so if they beat you to the gate you could have a slight wait.
