Starwood Preferred Guest - SPG Amex Gold & Bonus Questions

Greetings...

I cant seem to answers for these easily..I am sure you guys here know it..

- I read somewhere that X amount of spending on SPG Amex in a year gets you to Gold... I was wondering if anyone knows what that number is? I would like ante up the spending before the end of the year.

- I was registered for two SPG promos. 2 stays 2000 points and 500 points/night for midweek stays. My stays qualified for both but neither bonus has posted yet. Can the bonuses be combined or should I just expect one of the two bonuses?
