Starwood Preferred Guest - Reward Stays not showing up on SPG.com

I did a search but either I searched wrong, or didn't see it...

I've booked a 3 night reward stay at the Prince de Galle in Paris at the end of the year. The points and reward cert show as deducted on my SPG account, but the reservation does not come up in my "Upcoming Stays". I have the email from the system with the confirmation number and when I try searching for that confirmation number on SPG.com, it says it can't find it. Very strange.

Any clue? Should I be worried?

Also, I spent the extra 7,500 (for 3 nights) to get a junior suite (as a Plat, maybe that was wasted, but it's a very special trip for the wife and I and I didn't want to risk a regular room)... anyone have any experience or advice on the likelihood of a better suite upgrade at this property?

Well, I can let you know. I have a rewards stay coming up this Sunday. I called the Plat desk to get a suite, and am in the same boat as you. I am not too worried.

Those extra 7500 is exactly the reason why you are not seeing it online. Don't know why, but if I use extra points, those reservations usually don't go into the profile.

You won't see an award reservation online unless it's a ''regular" room. Deluxe, Club, Suites or any other upgraded room is not viewable at SPG.com

i don't think any award reservations show up... i made two by phone... a suite at the Hacienda San Jose and a regular room at the Westin Cancun and neither are listed.

In my experience, the system only can show the regular award reservations, sth like the standard room (C 3 is 7000 points, C 4 is 10000 points), if you book a deluxe room or a suite(C4 sometime will cost 11000-11500 points, C4 suite is 20000 points), it cannot show in your spg.com.

Much of this is covered in the FAQ at spg.com.
