Hey gurus,
What's the lowdown on this? I just saw an add. Opened this month? Is this place any good, and what's the poker room like.
Thanks,
M8
You are right that it is the Silverton.
Have not played in the poker room but it looks nice. Small maybe 5 tables.
I've stayed at Silverton 6-7 times since they remodeled the place.
It's a decent off-strip hotel.
Twin Creeks is the name of the Steakhouse I think.
It is listed under the dining link at http://www.silvertoncasino.com/categories/.

This property and the South Point are very handy for the weekend nights when the rates are through the roofs at the strip properties.
I often arrive on a Saturday-and a lot of the nice places do not allow a saturday arrival-these places have no problem with it.
The property is fine after its remodel=not luxurious but clean and fine for a good price. The food is better than OK.
And if you are at all into fishing/camping check out the attached Bass Pro shop-simply astounding.

I have not stayed at South Point. It was supposed to be South Coast, but I think there was a sale of ownership at the last minute. How did you like South Point?

It is just fine for an off strip place.Rooms are very large-and pretty comfertable.
This was the property Micheal Gaughn(SP)kept for himself rather than see to Harrahs-which bought his other properties(Barbery coast/gold coast and others)last year.
My main gripe with this place is getting on and off the freeway is a bear-but they are adding new ramps.

That construction nightmare is long gone. The I-15 interchange at Blue Diamond was redone about a year ago. And the new interchange at Silverado is finished as well.

As of last October the construction was still a hassle in trying to get to South Point. If it has cleared up now, that's great ^

I've stayed at South Coast and my only gripe about the place is the long walk to the room elevators.
I use self-parking in Vegas so I'm used to the long walks, but that walk to elevators seems loooong.
I usually stop in there to play at least once every trip.
