American Express Membership Rewards - Membership Rewards Express

I am sure that this has been asked before, but i couldnt find it doing a search:

When I apply for a Amex Knot or Nest Card they give you 5,000 Membership Rewards Express Points for sign-up. Are these put in a different account than my regular Amex Membership Rewards points from my Platinum Card or are they the same.

I am asking since i have overdrawn my MR account and would like to zero it out by applying for a new AMEX and the Knot and Nest card seemed to be pretty good fit.

The points will be combined in a single Membership Rewards account, and treated as if they had all been earned in the Platinum Membership Rewards First program.

If you spend $15,000 on The Knot or Nest card in calendar 2008 you will also receive a 10,000 point bonus in early 2009. We use a Nest card for recurring household expenses, such as subscriptions, dry cleaning, plus some taxes to earn the bonus. The physical card seldom leaves the safe.

Note, however, that you cannot earn the 5,000 point enrollment bonus more than once. This offer is valid for first-time Nest Cardmembers only. This offer is not available for new Nest Cardmembers that previously had a Knot Card account. You are eligible to receive welcome bonus points for only one Card account. Additional Cardmembers not eligible. Bonus Id: 2167
