Assuming this will be moved to the proper place, but I'd suggest (one-way?):

Emirates, CAI-KIX is only $1,600 in F, I'm sure around $1,000 in J? or Lufthansa, around $1,200 in J. Excellent ex-CAI premium fares, this is the time to treat yourself :)

Understand, but where do I post it? - Other African/Mid East; Emirates, LH, Star, ST or ? I'm open to suggestions...

mikeyyz - thanks - seems to be up a bit 1822+ tax OW on EK; can't find the LH fares at this level (best I can see is ZRFOWEG at 1553USD) Are these from a TA ?

FWIW CAI-HKG is 1519 OW in F on KE (can book on their website which isn't bad) or a few 000 more for CX...

Well, MR discussion would be at least a little more appropriate for this type of thread. But, neither of these would be truly correct, as you're not looking for a MR and want specific routes and such.
However, without being too rude, I think part of the implied message is also that FT is not a travel agency and generally not the place to come for asking about some secret airfare deal that doesn't exist. you've probably already searched, you know what the prices are.

I'm sure you can read the FAQ and sticky threads made to explain the forum, but there are about 4 times in there where it says not to come here for fare assistance in a travel agency capacity.

Back to the start--where should you post this..... Honestly, I don't think you should be posting it or even need to be posting it. You'll probably need to spend a little bit of time plugging in various date and city combinations to see what results you get, but if you're trying to do it at the best fare, then you should expect some time looking for prices.

Wait....you've been asking for fare assistance on a J or F only basis?

Er..yes. But will (am) posting here what comes up. IMHO the difference between a MR and a trip is somewhat grey in my experience (if that makes any difference)

Ah yes - that was what was putting me off also!
