I'm looking for recommendations for a rolling computer bag briefcase that will fit UNDER the seat in front of me. I've been using a Samsonite version for a few years but it is falling apart. It is imperative that I get one that will fit under the seat in front of me, since I generally work during flights and would like my bag handy (overhead is to inconvenient during flight).

I generally carry the laptop, a folder or two, and lots of smaller things in the front compartment. Thus good padding for the laptop is important, as is a front pocket (or several) with lots of small sections. It needs to have carrying handles as I use these to attach the briefcase to the strap on my overnighter when getting to and from the gate, etc.

Any suggestions? I see lots of bags out there, but most would not fit under the seat.

I've been happy with this Targus model which does fit under an airline seat:

I just ordered a Kensington Contour Bag last week:

http://www.ebags.com/kensington/contour_roller/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=65362

This bag is one of the few that will fit my 17" "Beast" (a Dell M90). Also the reviews on the Ebags site convinced me to try it.

As an FYI, the price including shipping today ($72.49) is better than what it was listed for last week. I actually ended up paying $63.49 including shipping, but that was with a $25 repeat customer coupon I had from Ebags. Note that over the next two months, net cost will drop, as I used FatWallet, which has a 8% kickback, and Ebags is participating in the Paypal 20% rebate deal. Suppose if all works out, my net cost will be under $46.

http://www.fatwallet.com/cash-back-coupons/eBags (note that eBags won't let you stack coupons, so do not use the free shipping link, or the 20% discount today will disappear, also delete any eBags cookie you may have before using Fatwallet)

_______________

Just noticed Amazon is $57.96, which is a better net price if you do not want to deal with the Fatwallet and Paypal rebates.
