She typically uses 1-4 minutes -- most often, 1. citril Dec 8, 07, 9:57 am Usually 20-50, so of course I'm on a pay by the minute plan. CessnaJock Dec 8, 07, 10:43 am It varies between 3,000 and 4,000 for three kids and wife and me. But most of that is absorbed by MyFaves (calling circle) and free nights/weekends, so we rarely go over our 700 minute plan. (Now if I could just get the kids' phones to stop working when our time is used up...:() myfrogger Dec 8, 07, 11:14 am I average about 2000-2500 with occassional variation. fs2k2isfun Dec 8, 07, 11:18 am 200-400 minutes per month, but i also text a lot which saves minutes. edweird Dec 8, 07, 12:09 pm I use about 200 minutes a month if I'm working from my home office the entire time, but if I'm travelling it can be as much as 600 a month. Most of my co-workers, family, and friends are on the same cellular network, and actual paid minutes are much lower since mobile to mobile in network minutes are free on my plan. ninerfan Dec 8, 07, 2:47 pm I have a 1000 minute plan and rarely go over 500, so I have about 4600 in my rollover account. coopervanning Dec 8, 07, 7:42 pm Oh my, I must need to get a life. Thank goodness I have an unlimited plan with nextel because I average 6000 to 7000 a month! I will say though I am always on the road and needing to keep in contact with my clients 24/7 xtacy8one Dec 8, 07, 8:10 pm I have 2500 min plus free t-mobile to mobile, i probably use 3/4 of them every month cordelli Dec 8, 07, 8:11 pm 20 or so, prepaid plan. sadiqhassan Dec 8, 07, 8:12 pm I use up to 200 but usually around 75-120. I text a lot though - 1000/month. When I first moved to NY I was shocked to see that the cheapest plan included 300 minutes. CPMaverick Dec 9, 07, 12:27 am 300-500, never gone over 600, ever. B747-437B Dec 9, 07, 12:33 am Usually around 4000-6000 minutes per month, most of it international roaming. You do not want to see my phone bill each month!!! Sholey Dec 9, 07, 12:44 am 4500 a month! gosha83 Dec 9, 07, 1:39 am Several thousand a month, but only 150 or so anytime out-of-network minutes. Luckily most of my friends and family from back home are also on Sprint, and i text the ones that aren't. iwebslinger Dec 9, 07, 2:17 am Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100) I guess I asked because I had a sprint plan with unlimited that was grandfathered from Nextel and I now have TMobile 2500 with nights and weekends and feeling insecure. I have looked at my bills and I know logically that they are below 2500 but still I'm feeling like what if this month I have to call some tech support or something happens and I need those minutes. anybody ever felt like that? tulsan Dec 9, 07, 3:36 am Average 1700 per month at $.08 per minute on the company plan. They also have a base charge. Don't think our IT guys are real good at cell phone contracts pshuang Dec 12, 07, 11:26 am I guess I asked because I had a sprint plan with unlimited that was grandfathered from Nextel and I now have TMobile 2500 with nights and weekends and feeling insecure. I have looked at my bills and I know logically that they are below 2500 but still I'm feeling like what if this month I have to call some tech support or something happens and I need those minutes. anybody ever felt like that? Cell phone companies love that feeling, because it encourages people to trade up to monthly plans that are in excess of what they need to optimize their cell phone spend. Whether your feeling is rational depends on your calling pattern. You've stated that you're below 2,500, but that doesn't tell us much -- other posters on this thread have described their calling patterns in much more detail that you have so far. :) E.g., I use about 600 minutes per month, with significant variation (+/- 50%); on a grandfathered Cingular plan with 1,000 rollover eligible minutes but no night/weekends minutes at $40/month. That gives me a rollover balance (from the last 12 months) of about 4,500 minutes. So for me, I'd need an unexpected 75 hour (3 days!) call to tech support before I'd start paying for overage minutes. If you're typically around 2,000 minutes a month, you have decent reason to be a little nervous. But if you're typically around 1,250 minutes a month, how likely are you really going to have an unexpected 20 extra hours of calling in a given month? SanDer Dec 12, 07, 5:22 pm 20-25 min/month. I am also on a pre-pay plan. stevenshev Dec 12, 07, 5:25 pm Usually around 4000-6000 minutes per month, most of it international roaming. You do not want to see my phone bill each month!!! My problem, too. 601 Dec 15, 07, 3:35 am I almost never go over my 250 minutes a month, but I have this month - mostly because a power failure took out the phone system where I work. chris78cpr Dec 16, 07, 6:19 pm I'm on vodafone over here and have a 1000mins and 1000txts plan and generally use 1500 txts and about 950mins. i also have stop the clock tho which takes me mins down dramatically. so when it says i use 950 i've probs used about 4000 or so. i'm a student with an active social life and a gf that doesnt live in the same town! lol |
