I've got the well-designed, compact, and reasonably capable HTC Touch, but it seems that my particular example got fitted a dodgy battery. It'll last about 30 hours (full to empty) without any calls or usage apart from being standby. If I actually use it to do things, it can easily go full to empty within 3 hours!
This obviously falls way below the published specification (up to 200 hours standby, 5 hours talk time!). The device is 4-5 months old, so well within warranty, but is it something that would be covered, or are batteries excluded from warranty? FYI when I first bought it, battery life was lousy but a bit better than now...could maybe keep standing by for 2 days.
If it's not covered, is there anything I can do? Considering I bought this for its performance/size aspect, carrying a charger wherever I go would be massively inconvenient!
