Gang,
Does anyone know how far the Westin Stonebriar Resort is from DFW Airport? Travel time... not miles... :)
The Westin Stonebriar Resort
1549 Legacy Drive
Frisco, Texas 75024
Would there be any type of airport shuttle service that goes this way? And what might the cost be?
Thanks,
William

It's about a 45 minute drive with no traffic.
http://www.supershuttle.com/ has a DFW operation but I'm not sure if they drive to Frisco (I assume they would as Frisco is now somewhat the 'suburbs' of Dallas). Their pricing may be a little different as there is a toll road on the direct route between Frisco and DFW.

Travel time can be anywhere from about 30 minutes (nighttime, using the partial tollroad, no traffic) to 1:15 plus (rush hour traffic going with the flow of traffic, not using the tollroad, etc.)
Personally, I'd recommend a rental car - unless you plan on staying on the hotel grounds the entire time, there is nothing else really in true "walkable" distance there (its close, but not pedestrian friendly).
The car service guy I used to use is no longer operating - he's been referring folks to Boston Coach, FWIW.

I rent cars frequently at DFW. I prefer EZ rentacar. get a full sized, and lobby for a chrysler 300.
I frequently drive from Coppell to Frisco. easy drive in off hours. either bring a roll of quarters, or a texas easy pass.
My favorite restaurant up there is Zander's House, which serves Viet

my other favorite has closed.
I am certain some part of Frisco is lovely. I have not seen it.

I think you could take 161 out of the airport into george bush to dallas north tollway that goes all the way to Gaylord parkway now (legacy is before gaylord parkway) assuming he is renting a car but not sure if GPS would know that dallas north tollway was open that far

SuperShuttle runs $35 to Stonebriar (I live next door). If you get a private car through Execucar (the sedan service through SuperShuttle) it will run you $65 before tip. A taxi will run you $85 on the meter.
If you drive, take 121 from the airport all the way to legacy, turn left under the highway, resort is on the left 300 feet down.
