The harrowing tale of what happened when a Good Samaritan was transformed into a terror suspect.

More from Annie Jacobson....

However, I recall reading this account elsewhere -- unless it was Ms. Jacobson's article (?).

Meh. He was misidentified, held for a couple of hours, and released. Manhandled a little along the way. His beef seems to be that he didn't get an apology from the FBI. He'll be waiting a long time for that.

Not to say that we're not living in a police state, but this guy's story is not one of the more interesting.

Nut job wacko, racist Annie Jacobsen's article was posted here last week. There was some discussion of her sanity and the speciousness of her latest "article".

This is where sensitivity training matters. Sometimes a simple apology from a government agency can solve things. However, I just hate it when government agencies as groups become asinine. This simply just promotes resentment.

Sorry we did our job.

"Dear FBI,

Sorry, if you treat innocent citizens like that and don't apologize when you make a mistake then I guess we just shouldn't trust you any more.

Sincerely,

The people who pay your salary"

I did read Wacko Jacobsen's 'article' and it seems that Wynn took it upon himself to be a paranoid rat. Hardly 'innocent'...

Yeah, I was the OP, but now the thread is in Omni-land, beyond my reach.

Dear people-

When you're given a report that two people are involved and are armed with at least one grenade then you have to go in like there are two people involved that are armed with at least one grenade.

The mistake was made by those reporting the activity, not by the responders.

All the best,

The FBI

PS-Maybe this is a good time to again request funding for exploration into psychic, mind reading devices so we'll be able to read minds next time and avoid these kinds of unfortunate events.

You're missing the point on purpose.

All they had to do was explain and apologize for the "misunderstanding."

Of course, you can't believe anything from Annie Jacobsen, who is quite a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

Thanks for the link to where this was cussed and discussed last month.

Anyone interested in furthering the discussion, please feel free to bump the original thread.

We'll close this one.
