Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Sta Travel

Anyone use STA before...i'm looking to get a student fare for when im studying abroad this spring, but the fare that they have seem ridiculously low.

I was playing around with the booking engine off their website and it quoted me a price of 557 INCLUDING TAXES AND FEES: here is the itin

Mar 31 SEA-KIX VIA YVR on AC

JULY 31- NRT-SEA VIA YVR on AC.

Is it too good to be true?..I have this feeling that the taxes and fees will go up because it's only 70 bucks when the thing quoted me

.My final Destination is Tokyo though

I found a flight between KIX-HND for 10,00 YEN or about 100 bucks so if i add those together it would save me about 150. Is that worth all that trouble?

I thought of this when i was looking at just SEA-NRT RT, which is still pretty cheap at 799

STA Travel is a fine and reputable agency. They have access to special student fares, which can often be a great deal.

It sounds as though they might have forgotten to add the fuel surcharge into the fare quoted to you, but that shouldn't be your problem -- once the ticket is issued, the fare is guaranteed.

STA Travel has been around for eons and is very well-known.

The only caution I would have is whether this fare is instantly confirmed, or whether you have to wait for 24-48 hours for them to confirm it. Can you tell?

I have no idea..im thinking that it might take 24-48.

The fare only has $70 tax which i think is really low...the cost of the ticket is only $480 which is a really good deal considering you get accumulate full miles out of it as well for United

I used STA many times over my years as a student.

They have had excellent deals, so you have nothing to worry about.
