Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - AUS to MCO in March 08 - Price Info

Hi,

We are planning a one week vacation in orlando around second week of march , but the airfare seems so crazy, I cant find any less that $ 400+. I am a newbie and thought you guys can shed some light.

Are these fare norm around march or is it still very early ? Do airlines usually announce sale fare later for spring travel?

I have noticed a lot of spring fares seem very high right now. I am looking at flights from CLT or CAE to SFO in March and the prices are sky high. Hopefully we will see lower fares introduced in mid to late January.

2nd week of March is Spring Break for UT and SWSW festival.. airfares are always high in/out of Austin around then. If you can vary your dates slightly that would be better.

Eg. Southwest has $235 R/T out 3/5 return 3/12

Also check flying out of San Antonio or Killeen. It takes an hour from Round Rock to Killeen airport, on a Friday afternoon it can take that long getting just to AUS!

There doesn't seem to be any deals the last three weeks in March due to spring break.Spring break, and for the younger kids, Easter comes relatively early this year (March 23) so many families are probably visiting The Mouse around that time.
