View Full Version : Wynn Fairview Villa

I'm debating about going with one versus shacking up at Skylofts. Already booked the villa, got a great rate ($700/night) and am wondering about Wynn's villa amenities...

Any butler service?

Anyone stay and like/dislike it? I appreciate any details,

Here's a two-bedroom Fairway I give a tour of. If you can't tell, I did the tour a little drunk so I sound terrible:

I've also stayed in a one-bedroom which is equal in every way except (obviously) the extra bedroom and a smaller balcony.

There is absolutely nothing exceptional added to staying in a Fairway beyond a typical room/suite in the Tower Suites (unless you consider getting walked to the villa by a super-hot Tower Suites receptionist an extra perk :)).

Skylofts definitely offers the better perks but Maybachs get old after five minutes and you might use the butler twice during your whole stay. Plus, my personal service experiences in my three stays there haven't matched all the hype you keep reading about. It should go without saying that the public spaces at MGM generally pale in comparison to Wynn's.

Would I stay at Skylofts again? Sure. But when you're getting a Fairway for $700, there's no contest on which one I'd choose.

Thanks FT'ers! I appreciate the advice.

Just got a call from Erika at SkyLofts offering an upgrade to their 3br for my early December stay. While it's a nice offer, it's more room than I could possibly use and I'd still be having to mingle around at the MGM Grand. I prefer a pretty quiet stay (as this is a spa-only trip), so it looks like Wynn is the winner on this one.

Thanks again for the info :)

If the upgrade is free, grab it! Spa-only trips are relaxation and nothing better than to relax in a huge room.

confirmed upgrade from 1BR or 2BR to 3BR? for?

has anyone else ever been offered one?

The upgrade isn't through the FHR program, but probably because Erika's seen me at SkyLofts enough times to have a nice back-and-forth with. I suppose this was just a friendly gesture, as I wasn't booking through Virtuoso or any other middleman.

I certainly appreciated her kindness, even though I'm not staying with MGM on this particular trip. When Bette opens in February, I'll probably plan to stay at the Lofts thanks to her willingness to help me out.

PS: It was a 1-to-3br upgrade.

I read your review off the LVTalk board. Great trip report.

If you are by yourself why would you want all of that extra room when you could pocket the difference between a tower suite and a fairview suite.
Tower suites are great-and huge with fantastic views.Fairview suites are larger, but I do not care for them because of the lack of privacy and no views.
BN-pocket the change and buy yourself a couple of nice meals.

Jay, thank you! I'm a real newbie here on FT though.

Bigguy, while I do agree that they're excessive for a solo trip, how do the Fairways lack privacy? Just getting into the corridor alone requires your room key. As for views, while it's not of the strip, I don't think there are much better views in town.

Speaking of which, BN, be sure to request a South Fairway Villa as the view is much better.

If lounging on the Lanai(or terrace)the whole east(?)facing tower is looking down on you.
Folks on the fairway are a little closer than is comfortable.
Not being a golfer I don't see the attraction of a "greens"view. But I LOVE the panoramic "king of the world"from one of the high floor suites!

You can only see the backs of the villas. No way to know who's staying there:

The real villas on the other hand might be a different story:
