Korean Air Skypass - Extra seat in Y for comfort on 747-400 is a waste of money.
Last week I was on a 747-400 (JFK-ICN-JFK) and have purchased an extra seat in Y for comfort. I was disappointed that the handle has not gone up all the way between the two seats. It was a waste of money as the extra seat did nothing. Does anyone know why on the 747 and 777 the handles do not go up all the way and on other planes it does?

Is this real???? Why didn't you buy business seat??
Well it was two of us flying and we figured that three seats for two people would do the trick and save over $7,000

Portions of the post that previously appeared in this space have been deleted. I would provide you with a reason why, but doing so would likely be against the TOS.

JFK-ICN and ICN-JFK was full.
I think I would have called the airline to confirm that the relevant armrest(s) would move before I purchased an extra seat.
I learned the hard way.

It has nothing to do with the aircraft, it is the result of the seat choice made by the airline. For each aircraft type there are dozens of seat choices for each class available from multiple vendors... it is the airline that makes the decision.
