Hi there,
I know that when redeeming a WN's RR ticket one only to pay for the $10 security fee? Does that mean that all airport taxes is already included in the redemption?
Also, I have seen some places where some report that they have to pay the airport takeoff fee ($3 - $10) at the airport. Is this true?
Thanks for those with experience redeeming answering my questions :)

You pay only the security fees on award tickets, nothing else.

I am not sure what this airport takeoff fee is? I doubt if there is anything of that sort.

Sadly no, there are PFC's, and a segment tax, for every airport you touch.
http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2007-04-16-air-travel-taxes_N.htm
7.5% Fed Tax on every ticket (on WN this is shown on the fare matrix as just the fare, but it's the base fare+tax)
Segment Tax $3.40 per leg
Sec Fee $2.50 per segment, max $5 OW
PFC Ranges from free at very few airports like DAL, most are $3-$4.50. And I just learned there is a proposal to raise to $6.00-$7.50!
So the Gov't makes as much off your tickets as the airlines do, and they aren't actually working!
WN only charges Sec Fee on a RR ticket tho, all other fee's are included in the ticket.

I almost asked what "PFC" stands for (it's not in the FT Glossary (http://www.flyertalk.com/glossary/?letter_start=***)), but thanks to Google I was able to figure out "PFC" stands for Passenger Facility Charge.
Hopefully this will save the next person who wonders from having to ask.:D
