So like many people here, I'm looking for 7k EQM to re qualify (I'm at 43k right now).

After playing with ITA for the last week, I came up with the following itinerary:

DEC01
LGA-DCA AA4785 Q CLASS
01:59 PM-03:10PM
214 Miles (500)

DCA-MIA AA1209 Q CLASS
5:50 PM-8:25PM
920 Miles

~overnight in MIA~

DEC02
MIA-DFW AA495 Q CLASS
06:50 AM-09:00 AM
1121 Miles

DFW-SJO AA2167 Q CLASS
5:30 PM-9:30 PM
1776 Miles

~overnight in SJO~

DEC03
SJO-MIA AA 1700 N CLASS
09:00 AM-12:45PM
1117 Miles

MIA-STL AA 2160 N CLASS
07:35 PM-9:20PM
1068 Miles

STL-MKE AA 5296 N CLASS
09:50 PM-11:05 PM
317 Miles (500)

~overnight in MKE~

DEC04
MKE-ORD AA 3972 N CLASS
10:10 AM-11:00 AM
67 Miles (500)

ORD-DCA AA 810 N CLASS
01:55 PM-04:40 PM
612 Miles

DCA-LGA AA 4792 N CLASS
5:40 PM-07:05 PM
214 Miles (500)

Total: $343.10 and 8,614 Miles

It prices out at $313.00 but when I put it on hold, it says fare had changed :td:

In terms of accommodation, no need to pay for hotel in MIA (staying with family) nor MKE (staying with friend). Need to factor in hotel $ in SJO -if not too expensive, kinda exciting to explore the city :) No need to worry about days off as I'll be in between jobs and need to be back in NYC on 12/04.

I know Q and N is not giving me EQP, but I'm going for EQM (unless I could find another fare for 100% EQP around the same price range...) Also, the STL-MKE connection seems to be really tight, only 30min. Will I have problems making it?

What do you guys think? Anyone else doing last minute AA runs from the NYC area? Other ideas are more than welcome.

Thanks!

I'm no great expert on these things but the overnights in MIA & MKE seem very tight when you have to get to your friends' homes and back for the morning flights.

Although the fare might well be a little higher, couldn't you just do a quick turnarond to Europe? That would give you all the miles you need and take much less of your time.

For the days that I'm avaialble, the JFK-LHR fare is $550+ :(
