Asia - Advise: Upcoming connections in Asia

Hi all! I've been lurking for quite a while and I'm hoping to get some advice on my pending connections. I'm in Shanghai right now, departing on the 24th on Japan Airlines. I've got a 3 hour layover in Osaka (Kansai) and then it's onto Seoul that day. A bit later on the 28th I'm going from Seoul to Tokyo (NRT) direct.

Any oddities or things "out of the ordinary" I should know before embarking? I'm never hopped around between the countries in Asia before, only flown in then back out from the same airport.

Also, a question about Chinese customs. I saw several other threads saying it wasn't anything to worry about, but I wanted to check for sure. I'm traveling with 2 laptops (carry on) and a suitcase (checked) of audio cables, a microphone and an audio mixer. All items are for business use. On the way into Shanghai I didn't declare anything because nothing was "remaining in the territory", and I've been assured this was the correct thing to do. After reviewing the details on the Chinese Customs site, it appears I would have nothing to declare on the way out either. Only those traveling with Laptops on re-entry visas, not simply departing and not coming back. Should I expect any snags going through departure customs? I do have US Customs form 4455 signed by an officer at DFW stating that all the items originated in the states.

Sorry for the two part question, but any advise would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Matt

As you've probably figured out from the lack of responses, the answer is "No". Both KIX and ICN are excellent airports where everything pretty much just works.

And as to the second part of your question, it was already commented on in the thread you started on this topic in the China forum. FT is an excellent resource and one of the reasons for that is because the prohibition in the terms or service against cross-posting in multiple forums keeps FT from being cluttered excessively -- just a small friendly reminder, don't let it stop you from participating!

P.S. Immigration, customs, and security at Pudong earlier today took me about 5-8 minutes total, they were quite fast and it was totally no hassle. You need to fill out a customs form before entering the process, and an immigration form after customs before entering the immigration line.

Note that there can be significant lines for checking in if you are in Y and don't have frequent flyer status on the airline or alliance you are flying, however.
