Hilton HHonors - Transportation Options DPS Airport to Conrad Bali

We will be arriving at the DPS airport around 11pm on December 17th and would invite some transportation options from the Denpasar airport to the Conrad Bali. I am sure there are taxis but wanted to know if there were any other options or suggestions. Thanks!

Your best bet is actually a cab. It's very cheap and not really all that far from the airport. Just try to avoid the porters at baggage claim.

A driver is best for the rest of your Bali experiences. If you haven't already check out http://www.balitravelforum.com. Drivers are $30-$40 for the entire day including gas etc. Not sure how the $ is right now in comparison, so might vary since we were there 3 years ago. Our driver did set tours or will take you where ever you want to go which is what we did. He does a good job keeping you away from the hawkers etc too.

Check with the hotel on their car service (which maybe contracted to a local transport provider but cars are usually in good shape); if its less than twice the taxi fare, go for it.

Bali taxis are overpriced (especially from airport when fares are fixed), badly mantained and sometimes they dont even switchon the air-con unless you insist. But then I am sure many on FT will say they wont mind being ripped-off as long as the money goes to the "local economy" ;)

For moving around Bali, I agree its best to hire a car and driver for the day. You will be amazed the hire for the entire day will only cost you 2-3 times what you have just paid for the 20min taxi ride from the airport !

I did this 2 weeks ago DPS to the Conrad, just get the hotel to arrange transportation, relatively cheap and good service!
