Just flew JFK-ICN and back in business class upstairs. On both flights the stewards made sure to go passenger-by-passenger and thank them (at least that's what it sure looked like they were doing) - but only if the passenger was an Oriental male. (I am a Caucasian male.) Normal for KAL? Perhaps. Likely to get me back on KAL? Perhaps not.

Oh well.

I have gotten the thank you on every KAL flight I've taken in Biz.

Perhaps the stewards were making a point to personally thank KE's elite frequent flyers, most or all of whom happened to be Asian, for obvious reasons?

I don't recall being thanked by the FA's on my handful of flights in business class, though maybe I was. But I also don't recall the Korean pax I was seated next to being thanked.

On the other hand, I was hit on by a member of the ground staff in Bangkok. :D I hit back.

I guess it was just an accident because guess what!
many Koreans complain that FAs are only kind to Caucasians!

I flew KE C for several times but FAs always thanked and bowed to each one of pax in C cabin no matter what ethnic background they had.
