How is the hotel in general? Are the rooms nice and new and is it in a decent loaction? This hotel claims to have a monorail station nearby. How easy is it to access this station from the hotel and take it to the strip? How long does the ride usually take from the hotel to the strip and about how many stops before reaching the strip? Thanks in advance.

Search this forum and you'll find good info about the Renaissance. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=340340
The hotel is an above-average Ren, fairly new. Rooms are nice if a bit small. Location is reasonable but of course not on the strip. The monorail is about a 100-yard walk north of the hotel at the Convention Center stop. From the hotel to the strip is about a 5-minute ride. The first stop going south is Paris/Bally's/Bellagio.
Be sure to check the Ren's discount web page at http://www.renaissancelasvegas.com/specials_and_packages/specials_and_packages.cfm (though it seems not to be loading at the moment).
