Budget Travel - Yacht Delivery, Flying to the boat and then Home

Hi all,

I need to get from MSP to LAX Dec 16ish.

Then I will join a yacht and sail it to Tahiti.

Then I need to go from PPT to MSP Jan 20ish.

If I use points I'm looking at using half of 2 round trip tickets.

If I pay for a one-way PPT to MSP it looks like it would cost $2000 or so.

Any other Ideas?

For not much more than that, you can go Qantas Business class (need to buy a biz ticket to LAX and then a Y ticket to MSP for the best deal). If not, AF has a $700 V fare from PPT to LAX, and then you can connect to MSP on a separate ticket.

Thats a great Idea. I could do a round trip using points MSP / LAX and LAX / MSP. Then a one-way PPT to LAX.

I hate it when I get stuck thinking in a box.....
