Southwest Rapid Rewards - Kids on flights - why?

No seriously... why are there children (under 19) on flights?

If you are 19 or older, maybe you go to college in another state. I get that.

If you are 18 or younger, why on God's green earth are you on a commercial airliner?

Your parent's don't want you there. I can attest to the fact because I heard how many times they have complained about you being with them on their vacation.

We don't want you there because you are simply rude and loud.

You don't want to be there because you hate your parents and don't want to go on vacation with them.

Do us all a favor, don't let your parents win this fight. Stay at home! Have Grandma babysit (she can't hear your party and doesn't care if you are drinking) and let us all keep our peace of mind.

Sigh...

When I was a young pup (back in the days of DC6/DC3/Connie/Convair airliners on the regulated carriers, and JFK was known as "Idlewild"), my parents took us along to visit aging relatives in other states. (rumbles around attic to find youthful memorabilia in a trunk - ah, there they are, Eastern Airlines wings given out by the pilot in 1960-something). I like to say that it was a start that's led to being on FT today, decades later.

Lots of reasons for kids to be on planes. The issue is parents that don't discipline the kids or teach them to respect others. I've been on plenty of flights where the kids were well behaved. I've been on others where the kids were more obnoxious than a drunk and ticked-off first-class adult passenger....

With your attitude, my guess is that most kids are more pleasant than you are. Crawl back in your hole.
