Air France Frequence Plus - NYC-CDG - 777 or A340 in Business?

I normally fly CO, but will end up on one of these birds for my next flight. I don't care if I leave from EWR or JFK.

Do you guys recommend one over the other?

Both aircraft types feature the New Travel Concept -- some of the 772s (ex-JFK) feature an improved seat that offers a better lie-flat seat, but no guarantees that any 772 flight you select will offer it. Otherwise, the 777s and 340s have the same seat for all practical intents and purposes.

I would give a slight edge to the A340 because the configuration in Business Class is 2-2-2 vs. 2-3-2 found on the 777s.

That said, you'll find CO BF and AF L'Espace Affaires to be roughly similar -- as a COer myself, I think you find AF a fresh change of pace that's a worthwhile "detour" from your usual airline.
