I'm sure this question must have been asked before but my search has been rather unsuccessful.

I'm traveling AKL-HKG-LHR at the end of next week, with a 3 day stopover in HKG. Can anyone tell me the rough timings of the meal service on the NZ39 HKG-LHR flight please?

And does anyone have any tips on when to try and sleep to make the best adjustment back to UK time? :)

thanks
Mark

Have done this leg twice this year. Both times in business. First was striaght through from AKL and you get 2 breakfasts - one as you come into HKG and the other after you take off again after transit. It was much preferable after we broke our trip in HKG for several days the second time round. Had breakfast after taking off and enjoyed most options on the menu as had gone straight from hotel to airport - early - although time for a few dim sums in the Thai lounge prior to boarding! Stayed awake as a day flight (except for a small snooze, watching films and reading) and then midday snack for lunch which is dim sum and sandwiches - may be a cake as well can't remember -then full lunch before arriving into LHR. Feel the latter is too rushed - OK to rush breakfast before touching down but they got the lunch timings wrong earlier this year and had to clear away in hurry and we missed coffee! It is a long flight and needs the three meals to break it up if you are awake. I had to have a glass of champgane with my dim sum and sandwiches before lunch and the full bar a few hours later!

Thanks ^ Maybe the second half of the flight is the best time to grab a few hours sleep then.
