So I'm going to be coming to LV from BOS for the first time in January- very excited. I'm coming with a group of around 10-15 people. What I was wondering is if there are any large suites that can hold this many people (rather than getting individual rooms with 4 guests to a room). We are all in our early-mid 20s and thought such a setup (a la realworld) would be really fun for a few nights.
I havent been able to find anything on hotel websites, so any help would be much appreciated!

You won't be able to make a reservation for that many people in one room. Of course...you could always go for the Skylofts at MGM's 3 bdrm loft. However, at upwards of $10k on some weekends...that might be a bit steep for ya. You could always look at the actual Real World suite at the Palms! It won't be cheap either though. You will be MUCH better off getting a few rooms that are together.
At Bally's, we were able to get a grand suite with a parlor room connected and then a regular room connected to that. All told, you had 1 king size, 1 queen size murphy bed, and 2 queen size beds along with 3 couches that you COULD sleep on if you wanted.

I think it all depends how much you want to spend. If you give us a price range, I think we will be able to give you a definitive list. Right off the bat, I would say something like the Skylofts would be perfect for you, but basically every property offers a large top-of-the-line suite, it just depends where you want to stay and for how much. You're going to have a great time, though! No question about that!

If it was 6 people, that would be easy, since a number of 2 bedrooms suites would do the trick.
As mctrees02 mentions, Skylofts are definitely an option. And, a number of the
speciality suites at Palms (http://www.palms.com/suites_villas_8.php) come to mind.
But, ALMOST ALL of these options will be MORE (some substantially) expensive than individual rooms.
So, before we go further in suggesting some of the Über cool accomodations, are you comfortable with a $2K to $5K room (per night)? Or, what is your budget?

Thanks for the replies. I'm still waiting for a total headcount, but I dont think anyone would have a problem with ~$150-200/night, so assuming 15 people or so, maybe around $2-3K (definitely not around $5). Do the skylofts or any of the other suites like this have limits on the number of people (ie, could 15 stay or would there be a problem?) Thanks for the advice!

From the MGM Skylofts Reservations page http://www.skyloftsmgmgrand.com/flash/skylofts.html : "Max. # of guests in a loft: 3 in a 1 BR; 6 in a 2BR; 9 in a 3 BR."
baccarat_king will tell you how to get around this! ;)

Called Skylofts the other day about a possible reservation this summer...they're now sayin 8 in a 2BR and 10 (but she said you can do 12) in a 3BR.

uh.. they used to say that on the website, then they reduced it. so they say theyre still going by the original higher numbers?
california09, look at skylofts 2BR (3 beds) booked through virtuoso (15% discount+benefits+possible upgrade) skylofts guest benefits include VIP access/seating/etc at mgm mirage properties, maybach/limo transfers, and skyspa. too bad youre not going sooner, skylofts virtuoso/FHR rates currently from $435/$680/$1700 (1/2/3 BR) you might want to wait to book anyway, to see if they drop prices as it gets closer (thats what theyve been doing the past few months) floorplans are online.
L suite @ thehotel is also 2BR / 3 beds, dont think it has sleeper sofas, but max occ might be higher than 6. last i checked it was priced in $1200 range. single floor open layout is better for partying/events than skylofts, in some ways. booking such a penthouse suite gets you access to foundation room. floorplans >

IIRC wynn villas also came up recently, and were similar, 2BR / 3 beds, $1200 range. even with max occ of 6 its still only $200pp. villa guests have same benefits as tower guests, pool and dining area IIRC.
there are also the 2BRs at mgm signature. floorplan > http://exclusiveresorts.com/images/destinations/LV_Signature_public.jpg there might be some good condo rentals as well, like maybe at turnberry? one im looking forward to is the mandarin oriental, theyll have 3BR condos.
unfortunately the palms place penthouses (1/2BR) >
http://www.primeluxuryhomes.com/images/hr/PalmsPlace/penthousepool.jpg
are going to go for $2K > $5K last i heard from owner relations manager.

great post, Kagehitokiri;
But, unless I'm missing something,
OP needs a suite for a group of 10-15 people; looks like the maximum of all of the above options is less than 10 people (well, maybe the 3br skyloft).
Also, out of curiosity, is the 3BR Skyloft really available for $1700 on weekend nights --- or it that just "selected" mid-week nights. $1700 for a Fri or Sat would be a steal for a 3BR Skyloft.
Kagehitokiri

the OP's budget is good. they obviously have to book multiple suites/villas. they could book 2 (of the 3) 3BRs at skylofts if they were going on the right dates. (obviously such dates do not include fri/sat)
only a private rental would accommodate 15 people, either because it is that large, or there is no occupancy limit. i know turnberry has 3/4BR units, does anyone know offhand what other condos do? id also presume none restrict rentals. anyone seen large ones out there?
2BR condos at palms place look like they can accommodate 8. dont know what they go for, but definitely less than $1600. if the penthouses have the same occ, that makes $5K for 2BR penthouse somewhat less painful, although still out of reach for OP. i might get in touch with them again and see what the final pricing/occ is.
wow, this Park Avenue condo looks a lot bigger than 1200 ft2 from pics, great looking interiors, sleeps 8, $350/nt >

You're not going to be spending much time in the room, so I wouldn't go crazy over this. If you're trying to reenact Real World, well, that's just sad. ;)
The Wyndham Grand Desert has 4-bedroom Presidential Suites, but it's a timeshare property and I'm not sure you can pay cash. It's also off-strip; I think you'd be better off in separate rooms in a strip casino property.
Kagehitokiri

you can get rentals of timeshares, but i agree value of the above places i discussed would likely be better.
large suites can LET you party. penthouses at palms place have glass walled cantilever infinity pools. skylofts give you VIP access at all mgm mirage properties. 2BR skyloft can have pool/foosball tables, and free minibar (not incl alcohol). plus space to lounge around. etc.
palms fantasy tower has great stuff too, but MUCH more expensive. some are clearly priced to keep bookings as low as possible in order to save them for high rollers/VIPs. kind of similar to mansion @ MGM, except much worse value in some cases.
maybe MikeE can comment on how many people he had at his party in a skylofts 2BR, and how it went.

I had about 45 people no problems, but I made it clear on the invitation a whole month before that nobody would be "crashing" (in more formal terms, of course). Only me and six of my closest friends spent the night. All you have to do is set the A/C colder, turn the music down slightly, and set the lights on brighter at 3am to give your guests the hint that the party's over.
At Skylofts, the service is so personal that despite all the space, they'll know when you're breaking occupancy rules. That's when it would get just plain awkward. Should you ever want to return again (and believe me, you will), they're good at remembering faces too.
