American Express Membership Rewards - American Express TrueEarnings Card

I wish there was a way to apply online for the American Express TrueEarnings Card from Costco without having to pay the annual fee. I really dislike annual fees..I know you get it waived with a Costco membership, but I hate having to be in the hole even before I've started using the card.

The 3% for restaurant purchases and 2% for travel is pretty nice.^

I don't think you can even have this card without Costco membership. However this card and Costco membership is well worth every penny.

Correct on the membership requirement, and "Amen" on the value of both!

Note that the business TE card only also offers 5% cash back on gas at the pump at all gas stations, including costco. AFAIK that's the only way to get a rebate above around 1.5% on Costco's (very cheap) gasoline.

My main spendings during a business weak are gasoline and restaurants, so this is the first card I reach for everyday :)

One update -- the individual card now gets 3% cash on gas purchases now.
