Hello all,

We were recently able to find a way to get more fare classes for JJ Flight Availability searches. As such we think we now have the following award classes on ExpertFlyer:

Coach award - T or X
First award - D or Z

The problem is that we aren't sure which set of classes are the correct ones as we have found conflicting data (although we show all 4 if available). If someone who is familiar with what the proper award classes for JJ are could confirm what the proper classes are, that would be very helpful.

Thank you for your help,
EFV

Thanks. I may be looking for an award ticket on JJ in the near future.

TAM claims they don't restrict availability for rewards - if there is a seat available, you can get it with miles (I suppose within South America only). I don't see anywhere if it is for the same amount of miles. Any experience with this?

Don't have any experience with TAM award tickets yet, but from the TAM web site in case you missed it:

The issuance of award-tickets for domestic (Brazil) and South America flights operated by TAM is not subject to limitation of seats destined to the specific use of TAM Fidelidade Frequent Flyer Program points, but rather to general seat availability in the desired flight. In the other international flights operated by TAM, as well as in all the flights operated by airline companies partners in the TAM Fidelidade Frequent Flyer Program, there is a limit in the seats destined to the specific use of TAM Fidelidade Frequent Flyer Program points, that is, even when there is availability of seats for paid customers, there might not be availability for the use of points. The partner airline companies adopt and manage their own policies regarding this matter.

Does that answer your question? Also, they state that "Currently there are no blackout dates for the use of points."

Yes, I've read exactly this, but was asking for personal experience.

Currently, there is a promotion to fly for less than the usual amount of miles (3000/6000 instead of 10000). I see there are domestic flights with no award seats available (and paid seats available), but this may be because the rules for the promotion are different than normal rules. I don't have 10000 miles to check what happens when the promotion is not active.

Yes, I've read exactly this, but was asking for personal experience.I've only done a TAM award once, GIG-EZE, and it was with AA miles. However they had availability every day even though it was around carnival. I can't say for sure, but that's in line with their statement about unrestricted awards.
