Is there a site that lists the table limits on the strip. I'm a low roller and just play for fun. I'm interested in $5/10 craps mainly. Last year at TI they had low limit tables from time to time but usually involved playing video poker and watching for a table to open. I did try downtown but prefer the strip.
Thanks

Table limits on the strip vary so widely, that'd it be hard to be precise about what they are at any given time. At best, you may be able to put together some guidelines.

Most weekdays, early in the morning, during non-holiday, non-convention periods, you can usually find $5/$10 tables in most of the strip casinos. Even the Bellagio tends to keep 1 $5 BJ table going most of the time. I haven't seen many $5 tables, if any, at the Wynn or Caesars. Bear in mind that most of the lower limit BJ tables pay 6:5 on BJ, so I ignore those.

The Casino Royale usually has the best options for cheap craps on the strip. They consistently have a $1-5 game going. Not the best atmosphere and the dealers tend to hustle for tips more than I like, but still good for cheap craps - usually with 10x odds.

I like playing at the Hard Rock, myself. Usually a $5-10 craps table going, and more importantly, they rate the players at that limit. Granted, comps come in at around $2 an hour for a $5 game, but the comps do add up and it's better than not getting rated at all. Besides, the scenery is very nice.

For craps, try Monte Carlo or Excalibur but on very busy weekends even these properties will have a higher minimum. Otherwise, as previously stated, Casino Royale will have $5 craps.

I don't know about craps, but the Westin Casuarina has $5 blackjack and a 3-2 payoff, a combination which appears to be going the way of the dinosaur and the dodo bird in Vegas.

$10 BJ can be found during the day...even on Saturday and Sunday until about 4 PM (once most football games are over) in the high-end properties (Wynn, Caesars, Bellagio, etc) but after that you'll be hard pressed to find anything below $25. You can still find multiple $10 tables at night at Bally's/Paris/MGM/etc that will have a good flow of people without too much of a wait to get a seat.

As far as payouts, a 6 deck game is almost always going to pay 3:2 regardless of the limit. The games paying 6:5 are single deck games and they might offer lower limits because not as many people want to play them. Personally, I have a fondness for the 3rd base seat at a full (and it MUST have 4 or 5 players) single deck table. ;) ;)

as many suggested, Casino Royale will always get you low limit dice. $5 (100x odds), $3 (20x odds), IIRC.

$10/$15 is pretty common at all strip properties for dice, of course, YMMV, but there should always be at "least" one table at this level.

$5 will probably ONLY be found in the AM, or at some of the lower tier [strip] properties, but, is NOT unheard of during day shift, but, once again, YMMV.

It is very unusual for there to ONLY be higher limit ($25 and up dice tables) -- since unlike BJ, the table minimum is seldom the action of a given player (i.e. for a $10 table, your bets mights might look like $12 6, $12 8, $10 on the pass line, $30 odds --- etc. etc.) So, casinos know they need to keep the minimums reasonable, since it's NOT like you are just placing a bet on one hand of cards.

Exceptions are always after big events. After the Mayweather vs De La Hoya fight, the majority of the dice tables at MGM were $100, $200 and $500 (eeekkkk ) minimums.

edit to add : the Frontier (may she rest in peace) --- was one of my favorite late night/early morning places to play $5 dice. Always a drunk cowboy (or two) around to keep things fun. And, most memorable, one of the few places I've ever been able to hit a hard 10 on the hop (the few times, I felt lucky enough to really bet like a sucker! ;))

The Sahara always has $5 craps tables, weekend or not. The dealers there are also very friendly and will offer you help learning the game. Usually a fairly fun crowd in there.

When I played craps last November in Luxor there was a $5 table in the afternoon. Not overly crowded and there was an old couple playing and they did very well on one of my rolls. I did okay too and was approached by a pit boss to see if I was in their players club.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Seems like it is a case of hunting down the tables. What I should do is be brave and up my stake.

True up. In fact, he was working stick when we were playing at his table. His name tag says Niven on it, IIRC, and he looks very much like his uncle. Regardless of his genealogy, he's an excellent stickman: calls a great game. And he's happy to chat about his uncle.

Good luck and have fun!

I find the $50 BJ to be somewhat more satisfying.

Yep, nothing like upping the ante and pressing your bets on a 25 minute roll like the one I was in on 3 weeks ago ^

oh goodness, I just "assumed" that $50BJ was referring to table limits (which I think it was). I guess, I wouldn't settle for anything less than proper $250BJ. ;);)

Before cblaisd gets upset at us for going OT, recapping the responses that were posted for the OP's question:

Casino Royale
Monte Carlo
Excalibur
Flamingo
O’Sheas
Luxor

Though YMMV depending on days and times.

When the Frontier died, it took the only Deuces Wild Hold 'em Fold 'em table on the strip too. Their dive Mexican restaurant was awesome. I'm depressed. :(

Bills Gambling Hall (former Barbary Coast) will also have $5/10 dollar craps tables all the time.

general rule of thumb: low end- $5 min, mid level- $10, high level- $25

slow times you will find $5 mins at the mid level places too and possibly some 10s at the high end ones.

Bellagio had $10 blackjack near the sportsbook on a sunday afternoon. They started trickiling some of the tables to $15.

Automatic shufflers :td: streaky POS.... their rules were fairly good for strip blackjack.

Ballys, on a sunday AM, had a $10 craps game. Place sucks though, don't really need to go there if you can find a low limit game elsewhere.

Don't forget the grandfather clause :)

One time family was visiting and in late afternoon we started at a $5 Pai Gow table. It eventually became $25, but we could still play our $5.

:D I enjoy watching those come up to the table and plopping down the previous minimum bet and after being told of the actual table minimum, wind up making a mini-scene.
