Hi,

Is there a method of scanning for S fares for months ahead? I've racked up quite a decent amount of miles on VS since June and am looking at spoiling myself and the lady on a trip in UC sometime next year.

What do the S fares usually cost lets say between LHR and west coast US or LHR and the Carribean? Thinking of hitting either Napa Valley for the wines or St. Lucia for the beaches and spas.

Thanks for any help.

S fares seemed to be loaded a few months in advance and the timing depends on the promotional periods. The currently available S fares to SFO, for example, run to the end of March 2008; no S fares seem to be visible beyond that, according to ExpertFlyer at least. Usual cost of an S to SFO is around £1,000 ex. tax.

Oh, and just checked to UVF and no S fares are visible in the same period. In any case, the chances of any miles upgrade availability is close to zero on the VS Caribbean routes.

Hi Petrus,

Black Cat's suggestion of Expertflyer to determinre S class availability ( lowest upgradeable PE fare on VS is a good one)
The BA system is a better one in this regard.

I do not know about the average cost of S but S to SFO for £1000 seems reasonable ( I got an S fare to IAD in May for £800 approx)
