Would like to use my FFM for trip to Turkey 6/08. Best to transfer AMEX miles to Delta or Continental or use my AA miles. Been saving miles forever & want to begin using them.

Thanks

Delta has a non-stop from JFK to IST. You might try that. From EWR you'll have to connect on CO or KL (or anything else), and sometimes those connections aren't so great.

Turkish Airlines has a non stop flight from JFK, they are still a member of One World. I was able to get tickets for April using AAdvantage. I have seen reports that Turkish will be leaving One World however, but I don't know any of the details.

Turkish Airlines... are still a member of One World.

Where have you seen that?? It is not true. AFAIK, they have never been one to begin with!

Exactly. They have had a codeshare arrangement with AA for about 7 years however have NEVER been Oneworld. They are going to be entering STAR ALLIANCE shortly and have already started integrating with LH Miles and More.

I just returned from IST yesterday on TK01, codeshare with AA. Preferred it over my previous trip in July on Lufthansa (codeshare with United) as we connected through MUN.
