Trip Reports - How is there no 380 TR yet?View Full Version : How is there no 380 TR yet? eternalX Oct 25, 07, 6:54 pm subject says it all Donut13 Oct 25, 07, 7:36 pm I completely agree I have been waiting since 500 pm daveinsf Oct 25, 07, 9:42 pm I've read several reports in the media on the flight and was hoping to get the FT perspective by now :) Mwenenzi Oct 25, 07, 10:07 pm Link here (http://www.theage.com.au/news/news/on-board-the-superjumbo/2007/10/25/1192941287815.html) from The Age newspaper (Melbourne, Australia) And other link (http://www.news.com.au/travel/story/0,23483,22651426-27977,00.html) to a an Australian newspaper story SchmutzigMSP Oct 25, 07, 10:26 pm They're still deplaning... :D Seriously, that thing is friggin' huge! plumbar Oct 25, 07, 10:29 pm shocking in the silence of the trip report!!! ucsf_med Oct 25, 07, 11:01 pm Perhaps they had to sign a non-disclosure agreement to fly on that flight :-) SuperCarnitas Oct 26, 07, 2:36 am Folks over at SQTalk (http://www.sqtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2560) are also waiting for trip reports & pics. Still waiting for the returning flight to land in SIN, maybe? CHC Kiwi Oct 26, 07, 8:37 am Was on SQ380 SIN-SYD. Just returned home to CHC and need to sleep. I've never written a TR for FT before, but I'll post one soon unless someone writes a good one before me. A shorter report will be forthcoming after my head clears from the free flow champagne in Economy. (only Charles Hiedsieck, but not too shabby). :D BTW, flight was one big party! The SQ crew deserve huge kudos for the patience they displayed in the face of OTT media hysteria. Richard Quest could be heard just about wherever he was on the plane. Was very pleased to be on the flight - great goodies probably some of which will show up on ebay (not mine though!). CHC Kiwi eternalX Oct 26, 07, 10:39 am Slacker :D StarG Oct 26, 07, 1:03 pm First TR (http://www.sqtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2573) in progress. daveinsf Oct 26, 07, 1:39 pm Few sentences posted in #27 of this thread: http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=749930 GregWTravels Oct 26, 07, 3:34 pm A shorter report will be forthcoming after my head clears from the free flow champagne in Economy. (only Charles Hiedsieck, but not too shabby). I figured the champagne may have had something to do with the lack of trip reports so far. Richard Quest could be heard just about wherever he was on the plane. Why does this not surprise me. I think that would be the worst thing about the flight - having to put up with Richard Quest. Ginger K Oct 26, 07, 3:53 pm They're still deplaning... :D LOL. I was watching CNN and wondering which FTers I was seeing on that flight. robb Oct 26, 07, 9:28 pm It should be noted that Richard Quest is a FlyerTalker, so we know that at least one was on board! It would be great if he would write a trip report just for us. arunaurs Oct 26, 07, 11:25 pm Flew SQ380 from SYD-SIN last night, came home at around 1:30 (SGT). The take off was delayed by more than 2 hours. Started drinking from 2 pm (SYD time) till the flight landed. Had a fantastic flight. I was seated on 75D (upper deck economy). Few empty seats here and there (I guess that were the seats alloted to the media). Sneaked into Suit class, made myself comfortable for few seconds in the Suit 4D (It was empty!!!) :D My camera lens has some major problems...:( 81 photos down the drain. Busy working to salvage some pics. TR will follow soon. mhindle Oct 27, 07, 8:38 am subject says it all I submit my TR fpr your pleasure! I am in Kuala Lumpur at this moment enjoying two nights in a hotel room. All the other nights were and will be on airplanes and waiting in airports. Will happily post some of my own pictures and comments after I get back home and rested. Have more flights and airports in between. tango3 Oct 28, 07, 9:10 am Mine's on airliners.net .... some of you folks may have seen it... http://www.airliners.net/discussions/trip_reports/read.main/111392/ Cheetah_SA Oct 30, 07, 2:43 pm I submit my TR fpr your pleasure! Most enjoyable! PS tango3, some of those "collectibles" you pictured are extremely desirable ;) Ginger K Oct 30, 07, 3:51 pm It should be noted that Richard Quest is a FlyerTalker, so we know that at least one was on board! It would be great if he would write a trip report just for us. I had no idea. Is he "out" with his FT handle? jpatokal Nov 2, 07, 9:56 am It should be noted that Richard Quest is a FlyerTalker, so we know that at least one was on board! It would be great if he would write a trip report just for us. I believe our dear old Dicky prefers to film his trip reports. :p MatthewClement Nov 2, 07, 1:21 pm I had no idea. Sweet Willie Nov 3, 07, 10:56 pm Don't think I've seen any 380 J reports from the inaugural yet. there were more than a few FT'ers on board the inaugural flight according to this thread and it seems a J report is coming: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=749995 --- Drzava Nov 4, 07, 5:07 pm Mine's on airliners.net .... some of you folks may have seen it... http://www.airliners.net/discussions/trip_reports/read.main/111392/ Great report! tshep Nov 5, 07, 10:16 am Not sure if this has been posted yet. I found another trip report here (http://www.hkadb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16794&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0). Written by the youngest Suites passenger on the inaugural SIN-SYD apparently. It requires registration (page is in Chinese unfortunately) but there're loads of photos. Comments are a mix of English/Chinese. |
