(Apologies if this has been answered before - I looked, but couldn't find advice on this exact situation.)
Need some advice on whether or not I need a Transit Visa; here are the details:
* British (no jokes about rugby or F1 please)
* planning to transit Shanghai to HK
* staying a couple of nights in HK before heading onward to Oz
* arriving on Virgin Atlantic, heading out on, say, Dragon Air
Do I need to get a transit visa? I have read the various websites which say no, provided transit is less than 24hr. But I am concerned that there may be some special rule about going to HK - with it being an SAR and not really 'out of China'.
