you may want to post your issue in the "spg.com - bug reports" thread as it's most likely an issue with the new website.
It may be easy to overlook, but it's a sticky at the top of all the SPG forum pages.

Yes, apparently the HTTPS (secure) part of the site is failing intermittently. As a techie looking at these symptoms, I would put the blame on the SSL offload server or the load balancer being misconfigured, offline, or rejecting connections.

Spg.com has been down since at least Saturday morning. I figured they were just doing routine maintenance. You'd at least figure that some marketing manager would be looking at traffic reports and notice that something isn't right. Sounds like there will be an opening in the IT dept soon.

You may want to try the antiquated www.starwoodhotels.com (http://www.starwoodhotels.com) site - it seems to get me & my horse & buggy to the page I want a little faster.;) - of course, it wont ask you to login until your at the reservation site.

Just as an FYI, there have been no widespread outtages reported regarding the web site. That doesn't mean that some folks aren't having some problems on an individual basis, but I and a few others I've asked to look into this, have been able to log-on and move around to different parts of the web site with no problems since 10:30 Central when I got here this morning.
If anyone is still experiencing a problem, I would call the Internet Help Desk and ask them to look into it. 888-625-5144, option 3. If they can't sort it out for you, they who to report it to.
