Which aircraft (/flights) have the new J seats? bobbybrown Oct 21, 07, 11:28 am All 330s have new J seats, but if 330 is not on PVG, never mind. Currently 1 or 2 747 pax versions are under upgrading. Most probably new J seat will be installed, but I think what you saw on PVG-ICN is 747 combi versions which with old J seats. Out of 9 777s, 3 or less than 3 777s have old seats, so you'll have at least 67% chance to have new J seat if you choose 777. ethelman Oct 23, 07, 6:29 am All 330s have new J seats, but if 330 is not on PVG, never mind. There's a "but": the 747 have VERY old seats, 80's sort of vintage, like a big chair. The 777 "old seats" are a completely different game altogether- electric cradle seats. The two are really different. The new J is, as I'm sure you know, of the lie flat and slide to the floor variety. hairpeace Oct 26, 07, 11:58 pm There's a "but": the 747 have VERY old seats, 80's sort of vintage, like a big chair. DownUnderFlyer Oct 27, 07, 4:24 am Thanks for the info, ethelman and bobbybrown. :) How does Asiana compare to KE on this route? Pretty much the same IMHO. I prefer OZ but the difference isn't that great. If you want a different experience, MU is flying this route as well. hairpeace Oct 27, 07, 5:21 am Pretty much the same IMHO. DownUnderFlyer Oct 27, 07, 5:56 am Please see http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=744319 I told you it is a different experience! Luckily you didn't have to survive one of their ancient A300s just held together by enough stickytape to double the take off weight. |
