I booked 2 Cash and Points hotels yesterday and cancelled 5 minutes later. How long does it take for the points to post back to your account? Priority Club points post back immediately after you cancel your reservation.

My experience so far has been about 24 hours anbhc. Even when an agent performs the cancelation instead of doing it online, this delay in re-deposit remains to be the case.

My experience is that they post immediately to the account when done on the phone. In fact, the agent will sometimes say, "refresh your browser" or "log out and back in" and sure enough, they're there.

I just had an experience with this last week. I cancelled a C & P booking online and it took 5 days for the points to appear. If you are in a hurry to have them at your disposal then a phone call should get them to you quicker (I wasn't in a hurry so decided to see how long it would take).

Last time I canceled, I waited and waited, and 3 months later called to get it fixed. So they do fall through the cracks sometimes and require follow-up.

I called and canceled a booking last week and the points were back right away.

For me, C&P booking that are cancelled online NEVER get redeposited. Full point redemptions are a roll of the dice.

I always call in now and make sure the agent redeposits the points. After the call, it's a refresh of the browser and they're back.
