Hi,

I was just reading about the new credit card deal for CO > Amtrak> etc... and was thinking how it is best to maximize my AMEX Membership rewards for RR.

What is the best? Does AMEX allow transfers into Amtrak accounts?

How is this all done and how much am I gaining from just doing MR to RR?

Take a look at the info in this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=747202). Basically you'll do an AMEX MR -> CO -> AGR -> CP -> WN transfer, which in the end will net you 10 WN credits per 5,000 MR points transferred.
