Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - how can i upgrade to business if I am flying last minute?

I am flying to hkg on saturday from LAX, on a AA codeshare. I have aa points, but I am not allowed to use them to upgrade. I have SPG points, but it takes 4-6 weeks to transfer to cathay's asiamiles. So I now have 2 choices:

1) buy points, anyone selling their asiamiles?
2) tip the ticket agent and hope that I can get on business.

Any other suggestions?

Britany did not have a time problem with her marrage/anulment in Vegas a few years ago.

you could pay for J, but I do not think that is what you are looking to do...

other than that, you are SOL....or hope the GA likes you !!
