Today I found a reward J seat from SYD-HKG online (11/22)

I already have the ticket,so I called MPC change the date to 22th of Nov.

The staff told me in that day is available,and he change to 22th of Nov

Also choose seat(15K) for me.

But after few hours MPC staff call me,that the reserve is incomplete.

And the seat is not available anymore.

So he put my waiting priority on highest.I am confusing he already choose

the seat,how come the reserve incomplete?

What I can do ?Keep pushing them?

Sounds that when you wer ein the midst of booking the seat, someone else had grabbed it (either through CX themselves or any of CX's airline partners), and they ended the transaction before your MPC representative did.

There is nothing wrong in the booking. And yes, one may reserve or at least attempt to reserve a seat on the booking without completing it. Only when the reservation ended and you had hung up, did the error message come back when the award availability isn't there anymore.

There isn't any compensation due. Someone else beat you to that seat that's all.

Just keep yourself on the waitlist.

for me I assume its CX system error.

In this afternoon(Australia east time) 12~4PM.

There are lots of award seat available from SYD-HKG.

From 1st till end of Nov,I just Quick check 22th~25th

Between these 4 days all flights can get award seat.

Until the staff call me,I check from online those seats are not

available anymore.Its really weird.

Ok...I think the reserve system is response immediately.

But the staff did not give me call after found error instantly.

Anyway the staff already confess he did wrong.

So just hope the seat can be release.

For some weird reason I haven't been able to log in to my account on CX.com today. I keep getting this "Due to internal system error... please try again" message. Anyone else experiencing the same difficulties? :confused:

I also suffer this question today,sometimes I can not log in to view my exist itinerary.

Also another interesting thing,check seat availability from http://www.seatcounter.com/,i double check from abacus

around 19th Nov until unknown date,CX nearly don't sold any F or J seat.
I think this is not normal...Because after 15th NOV it is shoulder season,and day before yesterday.
Around that days the i booking class is empty but today back?

Sounds like a similar situation I had. For two months now, I have been checking on Redemption possibilities in J class for HKG-YVR in June 2008. Not a single seat available outbound and return for the entire month. Then miraculously yesterday morning, a lot of seats opened up on virtually every flight HKG-YVR from 01-15 June (but nothing past 15 June). I quickly snatched up a seat and got the reservation confirmed. Yesterday evening, I checked the situation again, and it was back to ZERO availability for all of June.

This morning, the points were deducted from my account, and the e-ticket already issued. So, I guess I'm ok.

Maybe, it's because the new Asia Miles award charts came into effect, and CX had a lot of cancellations from people who decided not to issue the award?
