Does OZ provide hotel stay in ICN for Y fare pax from US -> Asia?
It depends on fare and connections. Full Y fares may provide hotel, while some discounted C fares would not (Z fares). It really depends on your fare code.

About V class, it is a cheap transit fare.
One relief, though, is you still get 100% miles on Mileage Plus.
Asiana Club members receive only 70% of flown miles.

finally, when checking in flight I was told I will be lead to hotel after landing at ICN. I had to ask to put my MP# into its system to accumulate MP miles and need to do this for each segment.

the last time i flew the pvg-atl on discounted coach fare I received hotel on the outbound layover and had to pay on the inbound.

But, how can you complain for only $700 all-in to fly SFO<->PVG at the time when oil hits $90

If you don't fancy OZs hotel choice, there is a good Hyatt right at the airport. I have used this in the past when I did not want to use the hotel OZ wanted me to use...of course you will have to pay for this yourself (stating the obvious :) )

I have a 12 hr conex JFK-ICN/ICN-SYD and have booked myself in to the AirGarden (Air side transit hotel).
About $140USD (for the two of us), but after JFK-ICN (10 hr?) in Y class, worth it - especially not having to clear customs and recheck - I should think.
Got a very cheap fare ($2000AUD inc. taxes) so happy to fork it out.
Anyone had experience with this hotel?
My first time with OZ. Looking forward to it after QF :(
