Hi, I have searched, but did not find anything clear. My question is how near departure it is possible to book an award flight using AsiaMiles on British Airways?

Tried to call the AM line, but was cut off after 30 minutes wait....

Less than 7 days in advance is definitely do-able, but sorry that I don't know exactly how much less. I too have been trying to get through, but we are having problems calling CX Asia Miles:

If you try and use BA's website for OW bookings it will not search for availability unless you have a full one day in advance notice for your search so for web bookings this seems like the rule.

MPC typically gives you a 10 business-day deadline for ticketing before your flight. However, I believe this is negotiable. It did take about 5 days for them to issue the e-ticket subsequently. I called a couple of times and the first time, they said it was waiting in line to be issued (I had wanted my BA booking code to select seats in advance), the second time, they said it was issued but was not emailed to me for some reason.

Once your booking is ticketed, you can keep looking for different flights, at least until OLCI time (T-24).
