I recently bought a new(er) car and financed it, $37,000. Now I have the cash to pay it off and am seeking a method to earn 37,000 AA miles for the payoff. The finance co, MBZ Finance does not accept credit cards, so I am looking for a method where I can "buy" a money order or cashiers check using my CITI card. Any ideas?

Get a Citibank checking account then order a Citibank AA Debit card for the checking account. Then you can buy 5 $1k postal money orders per day per ATM card. Each postal money order costs $1.50.
Walmart also allows you to buy money orders also with ATM Card only. They allow you to buy $1k per day and charge $2.25 per money order.
Be aware of it many times both Walmart and Post Office will ask you swipe your card and enter you pin. You need to tell them your ATM card does not allow that because the transaction needs to be completed as a credit card transaction. Tell them some BS that your Pin based limit is lower than $5k or some other BS to get them to allow you to use your ATM card as a credit card. The reason you need to do this is you only earn miles for transactions processed as credit cards and you earn nothing for pin based transaction.
P.S. There is a big sign at least at both my local Post Offices and Walmart that they only accept ATM cards for money order purchases do not even bother trying to use a credit card.

Getting a cash equivalent is the holy grail of miles earning. You could deposit the money back in your account and repeat. Because of this, no one is going to let you do this except by accident.

Did the PIN-less "BS" excuses ever work for you so you successfully completed crditcard charges by using your debit cards in either Walmart or USPS?
