Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Business redemption so difficult to get??

Any idea how to increase the chance of getting a business redmeption from HK to Sydney anytime next year? I tired to ask for many days but the rep said they are all booked!!
I thougth it should be easier as CX just increased the mileage redemption requirement from 60,000 to 80,000 for the return to SYD.

Are you waitlisted? That's usually the best way to get it.

Yes. But I am only silver and there are gold and diamond ahead of me in the priority list!

The increase is for next Monday. In fact, there is a rush to redeem in the past few weeks before the increase goes into effect.:( Just waitlist and be patient. Many of the waitlists will clear later.
