Hertz - What's up with Vegas rates at Thanksgiving?

Checking rates for a three-day rental picking up the morning of 11/24 and returning the morning of 11/27, the cheapest deal I'm getting is around $40/day for a full-size. That's using the applicable AAA CDP (or similar discount). Even with a $30 off coupon, it's coming out to ~$125 for three days.

Seems kind of crazy, given that hotels are much cheaper that weekend, and the airfares for those dates are pretty cheap, too. Is availability tight or is it too early to book a good deal?

Last time I went to Vegas, I booked about three weeks out in January and got a full-size for $18/day excluding coupons. Maybe I just got lucky...?!

Just checked and sure enough, rates have gone down by about $10/day. Thanks for the tip, though! :)
