Hello! Long-time lurker, newbie(ish) poster here. Apologies if this question has already been answered here but I did a search and couldn't find anything on it.

I recently purchased a Tamrac Cyberpack 6 for my Nikon DSLR + lenses + laptop. Its dimensions are 43H x 34W x 26D. I'm travelling through LHR in a couple of weeks' time and BAA's website states max carry-on dimensions as 56H x 45W x 25D. Has anyone had any probs getting a Cyberpack 6 through security? I'm in the process of emigrating and if I'm forced to check my equipment I'm concerned that I may not see it at the other end. Since I have no way of replacing it once I reach my destination (the wilds of Africa!), if it were to be stolen/damaged, I'm extremely uneasy about what may happen at security. Everything in that bag is my life!

Any help/tips appreciated..

Thanks!

Based on the dimensions you've mentioned, I think you should be fine.

Thanks cpx :)

I know my post prolly looks really anal (after all, what's in an inch?) but I've had a few run-ins with the security chaps at LHR before and I know what sticklers they can be.

Since your pack is not really a hard case and overall size is much
smaller, I do not think they will give you a hard time.

I understand what you mean by LHR security chaps... I've been
avoiding LHR for anything since they started the liquid and
one hand bag rules...
