Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - How good is CX V.O.D ?

I have flown now with SIA+ VS and I believe both have a brilliant VOD system in place with a huge selection of movies and other programs. I have been searching the CX website and the selection on the site seems very small compared to VS and SIA but maybe they just do not show completely what is available and what is not. Could one fo the CX regulars maybe let me know what I should expect whenh flying out the end of October (ie how big a listing) and maybe as I fly home the 1st November will I have the October selection or the November.

Out 27th in J from Heathrow and back 1st in F.

You should have the November selection on Nov 1 and Oct selection on 27th. J and F are same AVOD. As for movies, you'll get about 30+ movies, 50+ TV shows. When you're flipping through the movies they're organized a bit differently than SQ, you can always find good stuff in CX "Re-View" or "Your Favorites" in addition to the New Release category. Also check out "Arthouse," they've got about 6 movies this month (including Knocked Up, found it hilarious, some movie called Talk to Me which wasn't so bad and a few others). Anyhow give all the categories a try

Haha yea, definitely enough minutes for the flight.

I flew CX749 in J, on 26/04/07, the avod did not work, sent a complaint and have never heard anything back from CS.

Loading of the selection may not always be on the last/first day of the month - give and take a few days. I don't think CX is loading new selections at outposts yet.

I find the screen in the old F to be a little on the dim side. Has this improved with the new configuration?
