Other Car Rental Programs (ie. Alamo, Enterprise) - Alamo: Can you combine consecutive rentals?

Here's the situation: I am going to rent a car for 11 days. Getting a week's rental and then a 4 day rental, would be cheaper than what Alamo is asking for an 11 day rental.
I will be staying about 30 miles from the airport and don't want to drive back there just to return my car and take it again. Will Alamo let me take the car for all 11 days and still keep it on two contracts for the lower price?

I did this once, and I had to bring the car back.
I believe, you have to bring the car back.
Hint: I got dirt cheap rates for rental cars (Alamo or Hertz) through Priceline.

My problem with Priceline is that I have to take CDW and I have no idea of how much I will be charged. Moreover, my credit card supplies the liability insurance but I don't know if this is in effect if I rent from Priceline instead of directly from the car rental agency.

I checked this with my Visa card. Was told it's covered when paid with that CC ... I hope it's true!?

In general, most US-issued credit cards which offer insurance offer only LDW. My American-issued AMEX and Visa both do, but you have to have an actual residence in the US for them to pay off a claim.
My German-issued Visa pays for liability insurance but not LDW.

When you strive to get the best price there are restrictions. You cannot combine the rentals. You will have to return the car and get a recpt and start the new rental. You don't have to get a new car if you don't want to, unless MIA wants you to. But heck, get a clean car! Yes it's inconvenient but that's how you get the cheap rates, with restrictions. Sorry. I work for Alamo/National, that's how I know. There's no way around it, especially if you booked this through prepaid Priceline.

Thanks, Paminez. I will not bother to bring the car back -- but if you work for Alamo in PBI, look for me on the 18th.
